| Michael S. Petersen, M.D.
Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Dr. Petersen attended the University of Iowa City and graduated with honors and the highest distinction in 1980. He completed his Medical Degree with honors in 1986. Dr. Petersen completed his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at eh University of Arkansas in Little Rock. Dr. Petersen went on to complete two fellowships; one in hand and microvascular surgery at the University of California, San Diego, and a fellowship in shoulder surgery with Western Sydney Orthopedic Associates in Sydney, Australia. Dr. Petersen has been in practice in Yolo County since 1993 and recently joined Valley Oak Orthopaedics. Dr. Petersen is board certified in Orthopaedic Surgery with added qualification in hand surgery. Dr. Petersen is on staff at all local hospitals and surgery centers. |
